mySugr’s NEW A&D Blood Pressure Monitor Integration on Android (US only)!

mySugr’s NEW A&D Blood Pressure Monitor Integration on Android (US only)!

Here at mySugr, we know that managing diabetes is more than just monitoring your glucose levels. And we aim to help people with diabetes find full-body health in their everyday lives. In that spirit, we are thrilled to showcase the integration of the A&D Blood Pressure Monitor into our mySugr App!

Why Monitor Blood Pressure Anyway?

Hypertension is often a ‘partner in crime’ with type 2 diabetes. Although the direct link between the two is still a bit vague, it is largely believed to be due to their shared connection with metabolic syndrome and the comorbidities of that such as obesity and cardiovascular disease.

According to the American Heart Association, people with healthy blood pressure only need to monitor theirs during routine physicals, but people with diabetes must be more vigilant. In fact, if you have diabetes and high blood pressure, it’s recommended that you self-monitor at home and record regular readings with your doctor.

Since high blood pressure is often called the ‘silent killer’ because it doesn’t have noticeable symptoms until damage has been done. So monitoring for hypertension is just as critical to full-body health as managing your diabetes. We integrated this feature to make BP monitoring simple.

Will Monitoring Blood Pressure Help My Diabetes?

According to the ADA, over 40% of people with diabetes have comorbid conditions to manage with as many as 2-in-3 struggling with hypertension. The combination of high blood pressure and diabetes can be particularly dangerous as they increase the chances of developing other diabetes-related diseases such as kidney disease, retinopathy, and more.

We know that the day-to-day rigor of managing multiple chronic health conditions can be overwhelming, and, in the burnout, your diabetes management can suffer.

Our hope is to lighten the load!

Easier management leads to a more positive outlook. Positive mental outlook leads to better blood glucose control and, overall, a healthier whole individual.

How Do I Connect mySugr And A&D Blood Pressure Monitor?

The A&D Blood Pressure Monitor is a wireless monitor that automatically records and tracks blood pressure measurements with an easy one-button operation!
